Awaresst Space Technologies Limited is a UAE-based space technology company in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, developing Space Surveillance & Tracking (SST) capability focused initially on ground-based optical observation and the wider observation-to-decision technical chain.

From its base in Abu Dhabi, AWARESST is developing capability in optical satellite observation, orbit determination and orbital state refinement, custody maintenance, conjunction support, space debris and event monitoring, SST data products and sensor integration. SST is the observation and tracking foundation that feeds broader Space Situational Awareness (SSA); the two are related but not interchangeable.

Earth orbit is becoming more populated, more dynamic and more operationally consequential. Spacecraft maneuver, objects fragment and orbital states evolve continuously, while the information used to understand them can become outdated between observations. The challenge is therefore not simply knowing that an object exists, but knowing where it is, how confidently its state is understood, how that knowledge is changing and when another observation is required.

AWARESST approaches that challenge as an end-to-end problem, and is developing its capability against the full chain. Observation requirements become sensor tasking. Observations become measurements. Measurements refine orbital states and uncertainty. Continued observation maintains custody. Refined orbital knowledge supports prediction, conjunction and event assessment, and ultimately informed operational and institutional decisions.

The objective is larger than producing individual measurements. It is to build sustained technical capability that strengthens mission awareness, space safety, national capacity and the evidence base required for responsible long-term use of the orbital environment.

Technical capability, operational expertise, data systems and long-term Space Surveillance & Tracking capacity are being developed within the UAE space ecosystem.

AWARESST’s operational model is not geographically constrained to a single location. Observation infrastructure can be deployed, hosted or accessed according to technical requirements, with selected international partnerships and distributed observation capabilities extending coverage where operationally valuable.
